Mark Wolford

Mark Wolford

Manager/Funeral Director

Mark grew up on the Oregon coast where he developed a love and passion for the outdoors. If he is not at work, you will find him somewhere in the woods, or maybe fishing at a lake. When he is really lucky you might find him near the Oregon coast. For sure you will find him near his wife, kids, and grandkids.

Mark received his degree in Mortuary Science in Denver from Arapahoe College. He has been in the funeral service industry for 14 years. His last 7 years were at Prineville Funeral Home where he developed strong ties to the community and hopes to bring that same sense of community and family here to Madras. Mark said,” I look forward to getting to know the families of Madras and the local community. I want to build the trust of our community by serving the families in Jefferson, Crook, Wasco, and Deschutes counties with compassion and integrity. I commit to be a man of integrity as I serve any family that comes into our care. I would like to reach out more to our native community and build a stronger sense of relationship and develop a better understanding of the unique needs and desires of the families from the reservation.”

Mark is a former Marine and has come from a long line of military service. Currently he and his wife have one son in the United States Army, serving in Germany with his wife and their son; Mark's other son is serving his country as a United States Airman in the Air force in Florida along with his lovely wife. Their daughter is a very hard-working single mother to two and manages a service station with a mini market. His youngest son is a leadman for a construction company and enjoys participating in Rodeo and MMA sports. Mark and his wife are very active in their church. They have been members for 20 years. They believe that while church does not make you a good person; it has given them a desire to strive to be better people.

Mark wanted to encourage people to call with questions and encourage families to talk about how they can honor the life of their loved ones' final wishes ahead of time; find out their favorite songs, their favorite flowers; it all makes a difference so that we can build a lasting memorial of their loved ones life together.
