In Loving Memory - Reva Elise Brewer
September 21, 1925 – March 2, 2022
Reva Elise Brewer, 96, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, 12:45AM, at home in Madras, Oregon.
Reva was born on September 21, 1925, in Sandpoint, Idaho. She was the oldest of three children born to Peter and Persis Diederich. She graduated in 1945 from Rogers High School in Spokane, Washington and went to college for one year at the University of Idaho in Moscow. In early 1946, she met Donald Brewer on a “blind date” and they were married on November 10, 1946 at her grandfather home in Veradale, Washington. Later, they lived in Moscow, Idaho where she worked as a key-punch operator at the University of Idaho. In 1962 they moved to Portland, Oregon to take care of mother-in-law Brewer. While there, she worked as a computer programmer and system analyst for US Bank until 1972 when she retired. In 1982 they moved to Culver, Oregon and farmed until Donald’s death in 1996. Then, she moved to Madras, Oregon.
She is survived by her four children: Carol Bodey, Donna Hagedorn, Lawrence Brewer and Kathleen Hille and 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting with her husband. She was a Hospice volunteer, lector at Church, and a member of the Red Hat and Home Extension groups. She especially enjoyed gathering with family and friends to play cards or go for an outing.

A rosary will be said on March 10, 2022, at 7:00PM at Bel-Air Funeral Home, 762 NE 10th ST, Madras, OR 97741. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 12:00 (noon), at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 641 SW “J” ST, Madras, Oregon.
