Nettie McCool Obituary

Nettie Rose McCool passed from this life on March 22, 2023 surrounded by those she loved. Nettie was born on November 17, 1934 in Springfield, Missouri to Charley Ivan Middleton and Lena Etolia Dake. She spent her younger years in Mountain Grove, Missouri. The family moved to Central Oregon first settling in Terrebonne, then Warm Springs, and finally Metolius. Nettie married David Monroe Stephens and had one child, Charlotte Wilson of West Linn. She later married Willie Eugene Hollingsworth and the couple had four children, Judi Dilday of Cheyenne Wyoming, Randy Hollingsworth of Lampe Missouri, Rodney Hollingsworth of Culver, and Rocky Hollingsworth of Madras. After Gene's death in 1990 Nettie met and married Michael Frank McCool. This union gave Nettie four grown stepchildren who she grew to love dearly. Michele Pay of Madras, Darla Bowden of Metolius, Dennis McCool of Metolius, and Darin McCool of Klamath Falls. Nettie had grandchildren and great-grandchildren too numerous to name. Nettie was preceded in death by her son Rod Hollingsworth of Culver, both of her parents, her husband Gene and her husband Mike, her three brothers Paul Middleton of Madras, Ivan Stanley Middleton of The Dalles, and John Leslie Middleton of The Dalles. Nettie was devoted to her family and they to her. She will be dearly missed.
