Larry Dean Alderman – Born March 1936 – Died March 16, 2022 

Larry was born in LaGrande, Oregon and was raised in Prineville, Oregon with his brother Arlen and sister Janet.  He graduated from Crook County High School in 1955.

At the age of 16, Larry started working at Prineville Erickson’s in the meat department until he joined the Navy in 1956.  He was stationed in Hawaii where his primary duty was cutting meat.  When he returned home he continued cutting meat at Prineville Erickson’s.

He married Vicki Thrasher in 1963 and moved to Madras, Oregon.  They had 2 children, Alan and Kevin and then divorced in 1983.  Larry continued as a meat cutter for Conlee’s Thriftway in Madras for 9 more years then in 1970 he accepted a job at Portland General Electric where he worked for 26 years as an operator at the Pelton Dam Power House until he retired in 1996.

Larry and Nicole Moe married in 1991 and lived in Madras until 2021 when they moved to Redmond, Oregon.

Larry’s past hobbies include bowling, hunting, fishing, river rafting, cribbage and going to car shows with his 55 Ford pickup.

Larry was preceded in death by his father Onnie Alderman, mother Gladys Yonck, sister Janet Alderman and brother Arlen Alderman.

He is survived by his wife. Nicole (Niki) Alderman, his children, Alan Alderman (wife Juli) , Kevin Alderman, Kent Moe (wife Joan), Wendi Kissler and Terri Buck (husband Leroy); 14 grandchildren, Brandon, Tori, Tanner, Daniel, Todd, Ashley, Kassandra, Austin, Jamie, Stacey, Kara, Morgen, Megan, Amanda and 21 great grandchildren.
