Sergeant Dillon J. Brown, U.S. Army, passed away at the age of 25. Born to parents, James Brown and Julie Goss, on January 11, 1995. Dillon was raised in Madras, Oregon, and graduated from Culver High School in 2013.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army and completed his basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He then was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and was in the 101st Airborne. While there, Dillon was deployed to Afghanistan. When he returned to the states, his active duty was at Fort Myer. Dillon served with pride at his current post in Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery as a CAISSON Platoon, 3rd U.S. Infantry. He was decorated with multiple commendations.
Dillon's hobbies included hunting, fishing and riding his dirt bike. He had a tremendous love for his job, country and family.
Dillon is survived by his wife, Whitney Brown; children, Aiden, Link and Olive Brown, all of Fort Belvoir, Virginia; parents, James L. Brown of Madras, and Julie A. Goss, of Waldport; sister, McKenzie Brown, of Madras; and grandparents, Timothy and Sherry Williamson, of Madras.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Larry K. and Carol E. Brown, of Madras.
