Obituary

Steve Dillon, long time resident of Culver, passed away at his home from leukemia. He is now in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Steve was born in Oakland, California, June 22, to parents JD and Cecilia Dillon. The family moved to Oregon when he was young and settled in Dallas, Oregon. Steve and Mell (Marilyn) met in late August 1972 and had an exciting courtship and married Dec 1, 1972. They were married for 50 years and 13 days. Still best friends and still in love. Steve had this amazing deep voice and loved to sing and whistle. He’s singing with the angels now. Steve loved the water and had so many boats in his lifetime. He loved to water-ski and had a love for fi shing. He would tie his own flies and go fly fishing or buy a box of worms, sit back on his boat, waiting for the “Big One” to bite. He also flew RC airplanes for so many years and would teach anyone who was willing to learn to fly. He worked 32 years with Deschutes Valley Water before retirement and liked working for Bob MacRostie and enjoyed the crews. Steve was an active member of the Culver Christian Church and served as a Deacon. He so loved his church and church family. He was an active member and always ready to help anyone that was in need. He loved his family and his many friends. Loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, and uncle, you will always be in our hearts. Steve is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children who he loved so much, Tricia and John Quinn, and Mike Dillon; three granddaughters who was his absolute joy, McKayla Quinn, Grace Quinn, and Saylir Paulson; sister, Cecilia and Keith Boline; and niece, Julie and John Razevich
