Robert Wayne Irey, 52, of Madras, passed away August 19, 2019. He was born January 31, 1967, to parents, Richard and Willamae Irey in Bend, Oregon.

Robert worked at Ericksons Thriftway for over 30 years. He loved to cook and had several Chef Bob cookbooks published. Robert loved hanging out with friends and family, fishing and camping. He was also involved with the Special Olympics.

Robert is survived by his brothers, Jeff Irey, of Madras, and Richard Irey, of Culver.

A celebration of life honoring Robert will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Jefferson County Senior Center. There will be a potluck featuring Chef Bob recipes. If you can't bring food, come anyway. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with expenses at Ericksons Thriftway, to Richard Irey, and at Mid Oregon Federal Credit Union in Robert Irey's name.
