Merritt Eugene Williams passed away peacefully at his home in Culver, Oregon January 24th, 2023. He was born in McMinnville, Oregon on July 1st, 1943, to Eugene and AnnaBell (Burris)Williams. After World War II his family returned to Portland, Oregon where he was raised and graduated high school.

While working for the Federal Highway Administration, he met and married Diana M. Bodewig in Gold Beach, Oregon March 7th, 1964. Merritt enjoyed the outdoors where his hobbies included traditional archery, hunting, fishing and photography. He retired from the federal government, working for the BIA on the Warm Springs Reservation in 1999.

Merritt is survived by his wife of 58 years Diana Williams. His sons Ron (Cindy) Williams, Travis (Shawna) Williams, daughter BillieAnn Williams (Brian), brother Mike (Karol) Williams, sister Mary (Jim) Wiseman. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Kasey P. Williams.
