Our dear sister Mary Ann Stravens, 78,  of Culver, Oregon passed away on Saturday, August 12th from cancer. She was with family at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fay Elaine Stravens (Prinslow) and Father, Raymond Alexander Stravens. Also her sister Linda Fay Cook (Stravens).  She is survived by her siblings Tony Stravens, Diane Stravens, Mark Stravens and Debbie Lyons (Stravens). Her neices, Lushena Neuman (Cook) and family, Amy Koster (Cook) and family, Jessica Lyons and Sara McLaughlin.  Her nephews, Ray Cook and family, David Cook and family and Scott Lyons. Sister-in-law Dawn Stravens and Brother-in-law Mike Lyons.
Mary was born on December 24, 1944 in Mt Angel, Oregon. She moved to Culver Oregon with her family in the early 1970s.  Mary went by Mary Ann as well. She worked at numerous jobs including waitressing at Jerry's restaurant in Madras for 16 years and as a cafeteria assistant at Madras Middle School for 16 years.
Mary's hobbies were watching thriller/murder movies and tv shows, fashion magazines, and thrift store shopping. She loved Elvis music, and collected elephants.
Mary loved to visit with family and friends. She had a kind heart and enjoyed celebrating the holidays with family.
No funeral will be held at this time. Special thanks to St Charles Hospice for their caring hearts and support.
