Obituary

On Monday December 6, 2021, Margaret (Peggy) Evelyn Gallamore Turner, loving wife and mother of five, passed away at the age of 82, after a battle with cancer.

Peggy was born January 13, 1939, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Floyd and Wilma Gallamore. She was the oldest of seven children, which included five sisters, (Linda, Sheila, Sharon, Rena, and Rhonda), and a brother (Jerry). The family moved to Visalia, California in the 1940's.

Peggy graduated from Redwood High School in 1957. She worked at a local cannery and a bowling alley in those early years. She was known for a witty personality and always had a smile.

Peggy met and married the love of her life, Robert (Bob)Turner, in March of 1963, lasting 58 years. They raised five children: Rob, Myra, Wilma, Marty, and Kim. After marriage, Bob and Peggy traveled extensively living and spending time in many states. Raising five children on the road was not an easy task, but Peggy always had that smile, positive attitude, and love of family.

In the early 80's, Madras became a more permanent home base. They still loved to travel and spent most winters in Arizona with friends that were also snowbirds. Summers found the pair traveling to Washington and California to spend time with family and friends. Bob and Peggy enjoyed taking long walks and reading books together outside of their motorhome during their travels.

Peggy was the anchor to those she loved and would often plan get togethers and barbecues to ensure the family stayed as a unit.

When Peggy found Facebook, she immediately discovered how easy it was to stay in contact with family and friends on a daily basis. She became that person that seemingly always knew when someone needed an ear, just needed to hear " I love you", or I have you in my prayers.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Bob; two sisters; four children; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Heaven has received an Angel. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Linda, Sheila, and Sharon; her brother, Jerry; and daughter, Myra.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
