Madras resident Margaret King passed away April 3, 2019 at Chinook Place in Madras, Oregon.

Margaret was born to Tony and Sophia Victorin on June 17, 1921 in Malin, Oregon; a small Czechoslovakian farming community in south eastern Oregon.

She was the first generation born in America, her parents immigrated to the US at a young age.

On June 1, 1940 she was married to Clifford Dean King in Malin, Oregon, where they farmed and ran a repair shop. In 1950 the couple moved to Madras where they continued farming, raised a family and retired in 1979.

Dean passed away on November 29, 1986. Margaret lived out her remaining years in Madras as a single person enjoying playing Bridge and talking to everyone she saw.

Margaret moved to Chinook Place assisted living in the spring of 2016 and lived until her passing in April 3, 2019.

Survivors include son, Bob and daughter-in-law Caree King of Madras; daughter, Shirley and husband Bill Wilson both of Casa Grande, AZ. Granddaughter, Kristine King, partner Fedrica Hughes, California; grandson Gary and wife Wendy King, great grandson, Carson and great granddaughter Emily; Madras; granddaughter Jill Henderson; AZ

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 46 years Dean King, two brothers, and one sister.

A memorial service will be held at the Madras United Methodist Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2019.
