Larena (Fox) Hawkins A.K.A. Mrs. Tunnison, 86, of Madras, Oregon, passed away at home. She was raised in Maupin.

Larena was a school teacher for 40 years, and was a member of the Metolius Friends Community Church.

A saint of a woman, the kindness and love she had for every person was beautiful. Teaching was her passion and what she lived for. She loved all of her students dearly.

Larena is survived by her three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Hawkins, in August 2015.

A public gathering will be held at a later date when we are able to gather.
