"On the evening of December 15, 2019, Kimberly Elizabeth Stanley left this world and onto the next to be with the Lord and her family members at the young age of 66. Kim was born to George and Patricia Beckman in 1952 at Great Lakes Naval Hospital in Illinois. In 1968, she moved with her family to Loveland, CO. After graduating from Loveland High School in 1970, she received some schooling from a business school in Denver to obtain secretarial skills. A few places she worked in her early adulthood were Colorado Judicial Department and Federal Probation Department in Denver. During that time, she and a close friend went on vacation to Portland, OR where she met her husband of 40 years, Carl James Stanley, on April 28, 1977 at the Wreck of the Hesperus. Two years later, they were married on the same day they met, April 28, 1979. In 1990, they moved to Portland, OR where she worked at Multnomah ESD, Oregon Health Department, and other places in the Portland area. In 2002, She moved to Grand Junction with her family to help take care of her father. She worked at Mesa State College until she moved to Culver, OR in 2012 with Carl. Kim passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family. This wonderful, kind, beautiful, selfless woman is preceded in death by her brothers Karl and Walt and her parents George and Pat. She leaves behind her husband, Carl Stanley; her daughter, Katelyn Ann Stanley; her two grandchildren, Kayleigh and Adalyn; as well as several nieces and nephews. A service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1:00pm at Madras United Methodist Church. The address is: 49 NE 12th St Madras, OR 97741 (across from the St. Charles Hospital in Madras). Her favorite flowers were lilies and lilacs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brightside Animal Shelter in Redmond, OR."
