Dann Ralph Patrick, of Gateway, Oregon, died December 29, 2020, at the age of 69. Dann was born October 14, 1951, in Lakeview, Oregon, to Ralph and Veneta Patrick.

As a combat veteran of the Vietnam war, he served in the U.S. Navy from June, 1969 to December, 1973. Following military service, he traveled the world as a U.S. Merchant Marine and volunteered in North Africa with UNICEF, where he met his wife, Kristine, a fellow volunteer. They married in October, 1989, and had two children.

Dann enthralled all with stories of his travels, he was a jack of all trades, a voracious reader, and an expansive character. Forever "like a dog in the night, shining like an alien in the sun."

Preceded in death by his parents; and survived by his siblings, Mike (Sharon), Dennis (Marcy), Shauna (Dave) Hicks, and Sheila (Larry) Holloway, and their families. He lives on in his children, Emma Timoney, and Conn; and in the heart of his beloved bride, Kristine.

A celebration of life will be held during a future celestial transition.
